Céline Wardell

23rd March 1978 — 3rd July 2026

Our amazing Céline passed away peacefully on 3rd July after the most courageous and heroic 2½-year battle with leukaemia. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, resting gently and free from pain. She was deeply loved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, and her warmth, kindness and beautiful spirit will remain in our hearts forever. We will always love you and never let your memory fade.

Memories Shared

Celine took me under her wing when I started working with her and made sure I was always included in things. It made moving down south and starting a new job so much easier. We did long runs together and carried a hop pocket the length of Canterbury high street and won (the photo). We did a sponsored spin together. I had to stop to buy a bottle of water on the way there because I forgot. Celine had brought home made granola for us all. She always seemed to have her shit together and still had time to look after and support others. I aspire to be more like Celine. 💕

Darling girl Darling girl, how heavy absence can be. I miss your mischievous laughter. We met for the first time in 2010. We were all mums with children about to start school and through a common friend Celine, Jeremy and boys came to our house so we could get to know each other’s family and have a chat about St Thomas’ primary school. We got on over common references from having had our childhood in Brazil (hers in Rio de Janeiro, she would say ‘brigadeiro’, a favorite children’s party treat, with her ‘Carioca’ accent). Felix and Nico indeed were colleagues in primary school, played Rugby for Canterbury, went to secondary school together, continue to play rugby for school together and concomitantly felt disillusioned about the grammar system. Celine and I were in the school’s PTFA and she could not help herself but get her hands into helping, supporting, organizing stuff for every school and club her boys were part of. During the harsh years of isolation of the pandemic, we met outdoors for walks with the dogs. I have the best photo of her carrying me on piggyback across some of it (her idea, because I didn’t have boots on)! This was the picture of her in treatment, walking dogs, and caring people on her back! Then, shared care and concern for each other and boys of same age brought together this group of women all whom I knew before Rugby, but who met each other though me there. All from non-British and diverse backgrounds, who kind of did not comply and had opinions about everything - suitably named The Formidable Four. Through many breakfasts, lunches and dinners, walks, gatherings, Christmases, and birthdays we have supported each other ever since. Through ups and downs, in sickness and in health, happiness, and worry, mostly about our growing teenagers, we have been a constant since 2021. I told her how much she was loved many times. We were planning to meet to celebrate another birthday, but this will have to wait... I believed the name Celine came from Selene the moon goddess. However, Celine is a French name meaning "heavenly" or "sky". Either is very fitting and I like to think she’ll be looking over us, bright, opinionated, loving and kind.

These photos were from a fabulous long weekend away a long time ago. This place was called Holme Street House, a beautiful cottage in the countryside, not far from Kent. . West Sussex I think. 6 grown ups and associated small offspring, beautifully organised by you know who x I'll forever channel my inner Céline - besides her culinery offerings (wow!), C (&J) always made us so welcome over the years -in whatever shape or form we came. And we always left with full tummies and friendships. Céline, you were such a phenomenal force, full of sunshine, energy and empathy. I will never forget you my friend x Jeremy, Nico & Seb. We're thinking of you a lot - many fun times with you all. With so much love, Sarah, Isla & Harry

Sarah Bottle (that's the name C liked best 💚)

My first day at Burgess Hodgson was also my first day seeing Celine for the first time, stood behind her waiting for the photocopier she was swearing at it in French “Merde!”. Little did I know at the time, but we would go on to work together for 16 years, much of that in the same room where there would be laughs, telling offs more laughs and regular drop ins from people to say hi and catch up with her from Emma, Gemma, Nic, Caroline, Sue and many others over the years. Celine was always the first to congratulate people on promotions and build people up and she was also on the charity committee from day one right until her last day of work which made many valuable contributions to charity locally and most of the money came from military drilled food based events with her at the centre of it. Rest in peace Celine x Never forgotten

Celine and I first met when I was 11 . She was such a force of nature , full of fun, energy and drive . We both lived in Aberdeen and spent two years at school together and became firm friends , then when she moved to Brussels were pen pals and met up in the holidays . She would come to Scotland to visit and I would spend time in Antibes with Cel and her lovely family , Pascale, Chris and Fred . They were all so kind , welcoming and tried really hard ( unsuccessfully) to improve my French . We had our first road trip together ( without parents ) to Italy with another friend Catherine and just had the most fun . Celine introduced me to proper cheese ( the unpasteurised version did not agree with my Scottish constitution to her amusement ) , meat that isn’t a charred husk ( the whole family was horrified when I asked for steak well done ) , Nutella , and most importantly what true friendship is - lots of laughter , dancing to somewhat cheesy music , shared memories , affection and a feeling of closeness that doesn’t change over time and distance . I treasure every memory I have with her and am so glad that we managed to spend some time together over the last few years . She was just the best in every way, and would no doubt tell me off for this soppy message . All of my love to her family .

Celine had many, many qualities, but what stood out the most to me was the small consistent acts that made people feel seen, and valued. She always struck me as someone that choose kindness, instead of choosing to ignore, and she had the sort of personality which was bright, fun, energetic, a personality which brought out a smile. We spent hours watching the boys play rugby, and every conversation was full of life. Her love as a wife and mother was clearly obvious. She gave so much to her family, which I know will endure forever. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your dear daughter, wife and mum.

Celine - An exceptional individual loved and adored by so many would be one of my dictionary definitions for you. You lived life to its absolute fullest with your soulmate by your side. Thank you for so many wonderful memories filled with laughter. The world feels wonky right now without you in it and I will miss you forever my ‘sister from another mister’.

Emma

Celine, I feel so lucky to have shared so many fun times and memories with you over the past 20 years, and so sad about the laughs and adventures we'll now miss. NCT and having kids the same age brought us together; you were the most amazing mum to the boys and wife to your high-maintenance (but lovely) hubby Jel, and the love in your quartet was clear to see Lyn, the girls and I loved the times we spent together; the annual camping trips were the best of times; margaritas, quesadillas, campfires, lots of wine, long walks, pub lunches, foxes stealing all of our food (except the Fox’s biscuits!!), but above all laughs aplenty Wow, what a host you were; definitely the hostess with mostest, you always made everyone feel so welcome and those cheesy balls will go down in folklore! A one-of-a-kind, generous, strong, funny soul. Miss you, Celine xx

Steve

Celine there are so many shared happy memories from country walks and pub lunches to weekends away and the many NCT gatherings. My favourite times spent together were the family camping trips. You were a legend in a tent - organising arts and crafts for the kids, keeping an immaculate camp area and preparing gourmet food on a camping stove. All whilst mixing up the Margaritas ! I can’t believe I will no longer see your smile and will miss you so much. Xx

This is something I have dreaded writing, because of the immense emotions it evokes – a testament to what a gaping hole the loss of you leaves Celine. We met at uni, a long time ago, very young and fresh faced in the first weeks of arrival. Celine was like nothing I had ever experienced, loud, confident and fully dressed in a tennis outfit suitable for Wimbledon – with the thickest, glossy hair! So warm and friendly, unapologetically efficient and hated waste. We became firm friends, a friendship which remained over the years despite the distance – continuing to re-enforce our love of hard work & ‘no-nonsense’ approach. Celine could never understand why anyone would ever want to do something that to her was illogical – she had such drive and resilience, always solving problems and finding a better way forward. It’s that determined attitude and grit which became so vital in recent years as she battled her illnesses, winning so many fights along the way. Celine should have been put in charge of the NHS years ago! From the Uni days I remember the ongoing debate – does the bathmat live over the edge of the bath (British & me) or on the floor permanently (Celine/ French) – we hid the bathmat and sent Celine postcards from him from across Europe to wind her up! We lived on Brymore road and the shopping budget was tightly managed, we had £1 each a week for ‘treats’ and we always carried the Saturday shop home from Asda. I vividly remember chasing a litre bottle of pop down Sturry road when the bag split. Kathryn’s mum would deliver delicious Italian homemade food when she drove over from Paris to visit & we had so many laughs learning to live independently & stop those slugs coming in under the back door!! I remember the first date with Jel when we lived at Brymore, Celine being livid with you something in the weeks after and me playing diplomat, I’m pleased I was successful- it was clear how strongly she had fallen for you. I have never been able to live up to Celine’s housework standards, and remain in admiration of her maintaining those standards throughout full time job, kids, treatment & successfully training Jel to ‘Elite housekeeper’ level ! I will remember Celine always – her fierce love for her children, she wanted nothing but happiness for you both Nico and Seb. Celine has been a big support to me over the years, my biggest champion in so many ways and that capacity to support, encourage and enable us to be our best selves is something we will all miss but never forget. Such a special person, there are no words to do this justice. I am very sad you lost the final battle but take comfort that you are at peace.

Liz Neale

My dear Celine, we have such wonderful memories of you especially the great care you took of us when we came to Antibes for your wedding, making it an unforgettable and wonderful experience. It was a privilege to have known you xx

Pauline and Jeff

Celine, thank you for all the love and memories we have shared, you are the strongest and kindest person I know in my life. I passed by the Choir of Man in West End the other day, the last show we watched together with Hannah, forever will be my favourite show. Rest in peace. All my love Sam

Sam

It was nearly 30 years ago at Jim’s 50th birthday party (in the kitchen of course) that Jeremy was telling anyone who would listen about this amazing girl he had met at uni. He was clearly smitten and of course this was Celine. Fast forward a few years and we were privileged to be invited to their wedding in her native France. A grand time was had by all. Over the years at family get togethers we saw their family grow with their two boys, Nico and Seb. These are good memories which everyone can share. All our love Barbara and Fred xx

Barbara and Fred

She was a truly charming soul whose gentle presence warmed every room she entered. With her ever-present smile and an unbreakable fighter spirit that shone through even in the hardest times, she touched hearts in the most beautiful way and instills courage to fight against odds even today and in future. Though our interactions were brief, each one left a lasting imprint on my heart. I will forever cherish those memories, the 'sweet' connection we had and carry her light with me always. Rest in peace, Celine. Om Shanti.

Wow... where do I start? Celine was a rugby mum, but our friendship began on those walks we shared. The common thread that brought us together was the love we had for our families, especially our boys – and in my case, my daughter too. Now, I was never the best walker in our group. The "Formidable Four" – Roo, Adrianna, Celine and me – shared so many wonderful memories. I still remember the day Milo decided to make a run for a nearby farm and refused to come back. Of course, Celine was off chasing after him while I had stopped halfway to catch my breath! As always, the girls were pulling me along, kicking and screaming, while I was asking, "Are we there yet?" or, more importantly, "Where are going for lunch?" Those walks were filled with laughter, but they were also filled with conversations about the people we loved most – our families. Celine loved her boys with a fierceness that was unmistakable. She was wonderfully frank, always telling you what you needed to hear. She was fiercely loyal, always in your corner, and she had a fighting spirit that defined who she was. To me, she will always be my warrior sister. I love you, girl. Thank you for the laughter, the honesty, the friendship and the memories. We will miss you more than words can ever say.

Andrea

My Dear Céline, thank you for sharing your life with us since meeting Jeremy thirty years ago. Thank you for your support, care and love which you gave us so freely. We have so many memories and will miss you so much but will remember you always in our thoughts and hearts forever ❤️

Mary & Keith

Dear Celine we have many fond memories, of our family gatherings and catch-ups over the years, with your beautiful smile always thoughtful and caring. We will remember you with much love. xx

Glynis and Jim

Celine you are sorely missed. Some of my favourite memories are of the hikes we did up Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell - I am very lucky to have made those memories with you.

Henry Wardell

Cette force et énergie sont uniques à toi. Elles étaient constantes et infaillibles. Elles donnaient du courage et menaient de l'avant. Une lumière. Nous pensons fort à toi et tu resteras dans notre mémoire.

Although I didn't have the privilege of knowing Celine as well as many others did, I came to know her through the stories and updates Jeremy shared with us. Then, when I met her in London a couple of years ago, I could immediately see everything Jeremy had told us was true. Celine was courage personified. She had incredible strength, a determined fighting spirit, a wonderfully no-nonsense character, and a witty sense of humour that made an immediate impression. Her journey was a true testament to courage, resilience, and determination. She inspired so many people through the way she faced every challenge with grace and unwavering strength. Celine's legacy will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her and those who came to know her through Jeremy's stories.

I met Celine through Jeremy. Neil and Jeremy literally bumped into each other at 5am while each of them was walking around Canterbury trying to settle our eldest babies. They became friends, Neil was introduced to the NCT group, and before long we were invited to Celine and Jeremy’s house for lunch. I have to admit, I was a little intimidated. Here was this incredibly confident woman with a toddler, a beautifully immaculate home, a demanding full-time job, and somehow she was also cooking an amazing lunch. But from the moment we arrived, she made me feel completely welcome. That was Celine, she had a way of making people feel at ease. In those early years, life was busy and we didn’t see much of each other. But over time, our friendship grew, and I can honestly say she became one of the most important people in my life. She was always there. There were the constant text messages checking in, the little things she would drop round just because, the walks where we put the world to rights, the countless lunches and dinners, and our unforgettable trip to Majorca with our eldest boys. Some of my happiest memories are wrapped up in those ordinary moments we shared together. In more recent years, Celine, Nina and I formed what we proudly called a book group. In truth, it was simply our excuse to escape to The Old Gate for an evening of gossiping, moaning, laughing, putting the world to rights and planning said Majorca holiday. Not a single book was ever read, but a considerable amount of wine was drunk. One of those plans became a holiday to celebrate our boys finishing their GCSEs. Although it was supposed to be for them, I think we girls had the better time. In true Celine fashion, she discovered that every two bottles of Desperados came with a straw hat, and she decided every one of the seven children needed one. That meant fourteen beers all for seven straw hats. It was ridiculous, and we laughed our way through it. Looking back, it’s one of those memories that captures Celine perfectly. She made even the most ordinary moments unforgettable. Celine was direct and honest, but always loving. If she told you something, it was because she cared. She was fiercely loyal, endlessly generous, incredibly intelligent, wonderfully sociable, an amazing cook, and someone who always made people feel welcome. She had a rare gift for making friends feel seen, supported and loved. The world feels a little less bright without her in it. I still find myself wanting to send her a message or tell her something that’s happened, forgetting for a moment that I can’t. It is impossible to imagine life without her because she became such a huge part of mine and my families. My daughter always referred to her as her second mum. But I will always be grateful that our paths crossed, Celine has been one of the greatest friendships of my life.

Celine has been the glue of our group for as long as any of us can remember. Our families grew up alongside each other, and she's been part of our kids' lives pretty much from day one. Brutally honest in the kindest way, she made it almost her purpose to bring people together and make sure everyone had fun. She and Jeremy are the hub of all of us — organising the socials, bringing groups together, introducing people who'd never have met otherwise. Always out, always doing everything, always squeezing every last ounce out of life. And they brought us along with them. Celine was the heartbeat of it, she wore the trousers, carrying us all in her wake. I'll always remember the Christmas parties. There was always a drink in your hand — champagne, wine, beer, and endless cocktails, served up like an over-zealous waiter whose aim was to send you home with the biggest, most stinking hangover of your life. All the while she'd be the ultimate host, making sure everyone else was fed and watered, talking to people, introducing people. She was an exceptional cook, too — Michelin-star food, with Haribo inexplicably thrown in. No matter the occasion, there was always Haribo. She couldn't stand anyone in her kitchen and would herd us all out, and of course we'd drift straight back in the way you always do at a party, only to get her size 7 in my backside as she chased us out again. People still talk about her cheesy balls. But that generosity wasn't saved for the big occasions. She'd turn up on your doorstep with something she'd come across while tidying and spring cleaning the house — though "spring cleaning" undersells it, it was more like a quarterly affair — "this'll be perfect for you" — or drop off cricket gear from Thomas, or stop by for a quick chat halfway through a dog walk, or leave a dress she thought Poppy might like. Always thoughtful, always caring. But most of all it was the sense of humour. Wonderfully direct, no nonsense, but always with a twinkle in her eye. She was a gift. We were lucky to have her.

Neil

So many special memories to choose from but I will always remember being looked after when I came to visit. The Christmas Eve’s and Christmas mornings we shared with you, Jeremy and the boys families, are such fond memories that I will never forget.

Matt Wardell

It is funny thinking back to my very first impression of Celine. When we moved to Kent, Rafa started playing rugby in Canterbury. I didn't know her yet and one day in a tournament at the Club, the coach asked one of the mums to look after a small group of boys. The boys were chatting and messing around until Celine got around, firmly keeping them all in order. I remember thinking “what a bossy woman.. ,” (I actually confessed this to her later during a barbecue at our house!). After our boys started studying together at SL we became close friends and that opened the door to a wonderful friendship and that’s how we got to know what an amazing family the Wardell’s are, and what a warrior and courageous woman Celine was, someone I admired deeply. Our walking group, our barbecue, our coffee will never be the same without Celine, but our sweet Celine will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Will miss Celine forever.

Joci Borga

Celine, from the first rugby camping trip when you and Jeremy assembled us all for a weekend of fun and a few (too many) drinks to our more recent get togethers, it’s been a blast. Thank you for every laugh, every adventure, and every memory. Your legacy of love, loyalty and kindness will never fade xx

The first time I saw Celine was on a summer’s day over 20 years ago. She was passing our house pushing a pram in which, I assume, was Nico. I’ll never forget the look on her face which was of a very proud mum! The last time I saw her was in No 35 in St Margaret’s Street. Ann and I were having a bite to eat when a young woman (I’m in my 80s so most women are young to me!) wearing a face mask came over to me and said she was Celine. I was absolutely amazed because I thought she was still in hospital. We gave each other a big hug and I told her that seeing her had really made my day. Although Ann and I were much older, as far as Celine was concerned age didn’t matter. We were her friends. She was amazing and I for one feel privileged to have been one of her friends. God bless dear Celine, we’ll never forget you. Much love John & Ann

Having been lucky enough to know Celine and the family for about 20 years, there are so many memories and impacts that she has on everyone’s lives. For me, it was always her smile, warm welcomes and how much she enjoyed hosting. So many delicious and flavourful meals enjoyed over the years. Never an empty glass, or plate……..often followed by the most amazing cheeses! Apart from food, Celine brought a bright spark, with passion with opinions (to the room) and was always interested in what was going on in your world. Did I mention the CHEESE!?! Will love and miss you always Celine.

Will Harvey

Love you Celine. Your positivity was infectious.

Jesse O'Hanley

Dear Celine what can I say? We were privileged enough to be invited to Celine and Jeremy’s wedding. Celine came to our house not only with an invitation but a whole information pack. With maps travel options and lists a of accommodation. Everything we needed to have a wonderful time, which we did and because of you we have wonderful memories Thank you . Your beaming smile will stay with us xxxxx

Mary Cooper

Celine, what an incredible woman you really were! As I always said to you every time I saw you “I am so, sorry you are going through such a tough time” and you would always just reply, “there is no point in thinking why me, it is what it is” to me this was incredibly heroic and so, so brave! But that was Celine and that will be how I will remember her! Alongside of course the fabulous energy she displayed at many rugby trips away, the weekly check ins and the time when Celine selflessly came and supported me through my AAT course and made me believe I can do numbers! 🤣 She really was a good egg and that all that knew her will allow her memory to live on forever. Boys, Jeremy know we will always be close by should you ever need us, we also know that Celine prepped you all well and that you have got this! Rest in peace Celine xxxx

Lauren Lockhart

Although I didn't know Celine as well as many others, I feel like I knew her through Jeremy, who always spoke about her with such love and admiration. When I first met Celine, my immediate impression was of someone incredibly warm, welcoming, energetic and full of life. She had a natural way of making you feel comfortable, as though you were old friends. Paul and I were lucky enough to spend time with Celine in Costa Rica at Aptean President's Club in 2022. One of my favourite memories is from our catamaran trip. With Paul deciding boats weren't for him and staying on shore, Celine made sure I wasn't on my own and was properly prepared for a day in the sun, complete with a very generous application of sunscreen! It sounds like a small thing, but it perfectly captured who she was: caring, thoughtful and always looking out for others. Thank you for your kindness, your laughter, and for showing so many of us what genuine care for others looks like. Rest in peace Celine ❤️

Kieren & Paul

Tu me manques déjà. Tu vas continuer à me manquer longtemps. Merci d'avoir été celle que tu étais.

Eva

I loved our walks, gently putting one another's worlds to rights-I will miss all your advice, comfort and support and I promise to continue to offer mine to your boys. I remember so much dancing on your wedding day-it was the happiest day. Every single time we was together you brought the positive-I love you

Jodie Mills

I had the pleasure of working with Celine for over 17 years. She was brilliant, reliable, proactive and professional but was also just a lovely person to work with. My earliest memory of her is actually my first week at Burgess Hodson, she came in to explain a new case to me and hearing her speak to me and others I recall wondering how long she must have been working there and if I would get to know what she knew. A few months later I found out she was one of the trainees awaiting her first exam results and I was staggered (and a little scared if I’m being honest) to then realise I might be expected to reach her level of knowledge less than a year from then. She made me realise the profession and exams were not to be taken lightly and I am grateful that I continued to work with her on the same team for a further 17 years. I found a photo from a trip to a Cricket themed dinner at Lords posing with a Teddy I won and still own! An amazing and brave person who will be missed

Simon Bailey

I came to know Celine through Jeremy's stories but what I came to admire in her and loved immediately was the fact she was a fighter till the end, had a strong and no-nonsense character as well as witty sense of humor. Her story is a testimonial of strength, love and support. She will be in our hearts where she belongs.

Dear Céline, You will continue to live in the hearts of all those who love you, in their smiles, in their memories… And from now on, every little Pistachio Lover moment will inevitably make me think of you. 💚 May your light continue to shine in the hearts of all who love you. With all my love

Some people leave footprints on your heart that never fade, and Celine was one of those people. We shared so many wonderful memories around your table, enjoying your incredible cooking, sipping your amazing cocktails, and spending hours talking and laughing together. You had a gift for bringing people together, and every moment with you was special. You were the most organised, sincere, and bravest person we knew, and we feel so lucky to have called you our friend. We’ll always smile when we remember you telling us that the only meal you couldn’t cook was a proper British roast. We were meant to have you over so we could cook one for you, but sadly, we never got that chance. We’ll miss your laughter, your kindness, your amazing food, and most of all, you. Thank you for the memories, the friendship, and the love you gave so freely. Rest peacefully, dear Celine. You will always be loved, remembered, and deeply missed. ❤️

I met Celine during my first week at Burgess Hodgson, 24 years ago. There weren't many female accountants at the time and she came and found me and asked if i wanted to go out for lunch with her and Sue. From then on we were firm friends and spent a lot time at work together enjoying lunch at Kudos and arranging girls dinners and poker nights. She was always a force to be reckoned with and had enthusiasm for everything she decided to do. She was also one of the few people who could stand up to Steve :). This photo is from the BH summer ball in 2006 ish. We danced the night away. We were pregnant at the same time with Seb and Owen and she was so excited and loved giving me maternity clothes and baby bits as soon as Seb outgrew them. In more recent years we've enjoyed walks and food with Alex and Joci. You will be so missed but i love how our boys are now friends xx

the first time i met Céline was at a bbq my parents hosted, i was newly 17 and in charge of making the punch bowl. while my friend, sister and i were hiding from all the people in the kitchen, a woman i had never seen before wandered in and asked what we were doing. we explained the punch and, with Celine’s own brand of confidence, smiles and friendly ease, she walked over, grabbed a shot glass and tried some- immediately going into military mode- directing my sister to find the ‘cheapest and nastiest’ alcohol she could, and directing my friend to empty the additional bottle of vodka into the box. my parents had warned me they didn’t think it would be drank- but by the end of the night, the punch was gone. it wouldn’t have been so popular or tasty without Céline’s input, and we would not have felt as at ease with the adults as we were without her. it was a cracking way to meet such a beautiful soul and im so lucky to have that memory, it plays every time I make a cocktail. <3

This photo was taken at a family wedding moments after me and Celine tore up the dance floor. Myself looking a bit worse for wear but as always Celine looking radiant as ever with her huge smile. We are so lucky to have had you in our lives and our family has been so much richer since you joined us and fatter with all the amazing food you fed us all over the years. You were an amazing sister-in-law but an even better big sister.

When I think of Celine, I think first of Cheesy Balls & champagne at the Berry BBQs! Over the last 19 years, her cheesy balls were much anticipated & enjoyed (looking back through old emails, apparently they were actually called pao de queijo!). Celine was a loyal, forthright & honest friend for nearly 20 years and I was fortunate enough to get to know her as part of a group of Canterbury NCT mums. A close-knit bunch of ladies, we have weathered many storms together - and I am devastated that we have lost one of our strongest, most dynamic & caring friends. To her boys, Nico & Seb - your mum was fiercely protective of her cubs & was so proud of you both. Jeremy - I’m sure it’s true to say ‘happy wife, happy life’! Celine was a wonderful partner & loved you so much. It’s so hard to believe that she’s gone - but I know that she is looking down on us all & I will think of her often. Life is richer for having had you as a friend, Celine - requiescat in pace.

You ALWAYS make me laugh! Brutally honest and somehow kind at the same time. I know your energy will always be around us. I will think of you when dragonflies are around. X

Celine was one of my first real adult friends/ family I made after having the kids, she was always there it didn’t matter how many months that pasted in between chats, texts or dinner parties, it just picked up where we left off. Celine wanted to entertain people with food and drink and this is why we clicked. Some of my fondest memories are of camping with rugby lot catering for the masses with Celine conducting organising us all so everything was right and I really loved everything about that. I will miss our txts about food I’ve made or slushie I was experimenting with, your epic dinner parties and amazing food you made. You were part of big moments in my life and I will never forget that. Love Jumbo x
